I have sent a small demo of my morphing routine to Mr. Giark himself, so
there is no quibbling that I havent sent my piece. It should be up on the
list game page within a short time. Some notes about it:
1) Firstly, it just scrolls from A - Z on its own. I have yet to implant
some routines to go within the morphing sequence.
2) The morphing isnt the best it can be just yet. I removed an algorythm
which calculates the exact number of pixels to move each axis for every
frame of morphing. This ensures that all axis finish at the exact same
time, and your not waiting for others to finsh.
3) The rotation routine I wrote myself is being updated to rotate multiple
arrays at once, so I can physically control more than one object on the
screen at once. When implemented, the morphing letters will also rotate.
4) If you look at the first 3 letters, you will see they morph in a
different way than the rest. This process I call "Data Switching" to
trick the system into thinking its starting points are at some other
location. I havent had time to switch the other letters yet, but I will
work on that for the next release.
If anyone has any questions/comments/suggestions then please feel free to
contact me. If you want the file mailed to you personally, just ask.
